Spring Beauty Must Haves

flat lay of beauty products

It’s that magical time of the year when we start to emerge from under the thick layers of clothing and start to show some skin. I’m a self professed beauty addict, and I want to share with you some of my spring beauty must haves. It also just so happens that Sephora is running their Beauty Insider promotion – so it’s the perfect time to stock up and purchase some of the higher ticket items!

Foreo Luna Mini 2

The first product I want to highlight is a true game changer for me, and I don’t use that term lightly. I have incredibly sensitive, combination skin, so I am extremely cautious whenever I make a change to my beauty routine, so here is a little back-story.

I had been using a Clarisonic brush sporadically for a few years, and finally found the right brush head that didn’t trigger my skin. And then one evening, it died. Completely refused to charge and stop working. Are you kidding me?!? I considered this tool to be an investment, and I was pretty livid that it just up and stopped working, right after the manufacturers warranty ran out, mind you. So I did some research, and discovered the Foreo brand. Unlike the other brush, the unit I purchased, the Foreo LUNA mini 2 is made of an anti-bacterial silicone, so there is no need for the expensive brush head replacements. It also holds a charge for months. MONTHS! No more “ shoot I forgot to charge, so my skin will have to suffer tonight” moments! And it is much smaller, so it makes traveling with a breeze.

Now to what it has done for my skin – I use it once a day, at night as the second to last step – after an initial hand cleanse and before using a toner. It takes off any stubborn makeup like a dream, and leaves my skin feeling immediately soft and ready for any other products I am using. It is so gentle, and gets in all the nooks and crannies around my nose, eyes and I even use it around my neck. My skin feels smoother, more refined and I’m completely in love. They have many models in various price points and for various skin concerns, so there is surely something for everyone! The LUNA Mini 2 is $139

First Aid Beauty Bouncy Mask

A few times a week, I like to use a mask and have a few for different skin concerns and occasions. I’m thinking a mask post may be in order 🙂 I picked up this FAB Bouncy mask to use before a night out and discovered that it works just as well for the day after a night out. The consistency is so fun – it is like a magic goop that somehow always returns to it’s original shape. And I feel like that’s what it does to my skin – returns it to it’s best self and shape! It’s touted as a ‘5 in 1’ that will nourish, calm, firm, plump and refine. I found that my skin looks a little bit flushed after I rinse it off, but that quickly fades and I’m left with a supple glow and absolutely zero irritation or negative skin reaction. It has a dreamy, very subtle rose scent, it’s $38 and can be found here.

Wander Beauty Blush Stick

I’m a sucker for pretty packaging and Wander Beauty On – The – Glow Blush stick is stunning. It’s a dual ended blush & highlighter that has multi-tasking perfected. The blush end works on lips, cheeks and even the eyes, while the highlight end is perfect for the cheekbones, cupids bow and brow-bone. I ordered it in the shade “Bare” because I tend to gravitate to a natural, tawny shade in blush. It applies like a dream, absolutely melting into the skin with beautiful pigmentation, no tugging and is easily blendable and buildable. The formulations are cream to powder and the blush leaves a radiant finish while the highlighter adds luminosity and glow. It  isn’t at all glittery or sparkly (I HATE when they sneak glitter in my makeup!) This makes getting ready a breeze and is a makeup bag & purse staple for me for sure! It is $42 and will last me a long time.

Josie Maran Argan Bronzer

As I said before, it’s the time of year when we are starting to show some skin, and I for one, am pale and pasty. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become more and more conscious about staying out of the sun and making sure to apply SPF. But who doesn’t love a bronze glow?!? I’m a huge fan of Josie Maran products as I mentioned in another post. This Liquid Gold Bronzer has earned a lasting place in my every growing Argan Oil collection. IMO the worst part about self tanning is the smell. This stuff has a lovely, subtle smell of vanilla & apricot with non of the gross tanning smell. As it tans, it also moisturizes the skin with Organic Argan Oil, so your skin is left hydrated and not sticky, tacky or greasy. It imparts the perfect glow, is buildable, is impossible to over apply and is never orange. It also dries quickly, does not streak and does not transfer to your clothes or sheets. Love. It is $38 and worth every penny!

VERB Sea Salt Spray

The last Spring must have is this VERB Sea Spray. It’s the time of year where I don’t always blow dry my hair, but I don’t necessarily love how my hair dries without anything in it. My go-to is to lightly blow dry my hair, spray it with this sea-salt spray and put it in a loose braid for the day. Once evening comes and I’m heading out for dinner or drinks, I’ll take out the braid, re-spray and maybe curl a few strands of hair around my face. Then toussle and I’ve got the perfect, beachy waves with minimal effort. Oh and it smells so fresh and yummy, always a plus! It adds texture, protects against UV and naturally conditions. It is $14 for the large 6.3 oz size.

*FYI all of the products that I mentioned are ones that I purchased on my own – nothing is sponsored.

Cheers to a wonderful Spring!
