Rose Gold Vintage-Glam Christmas
Greetings – I’m so glad you’ve stopped by Wynn & Roo! I’m excited to be joining along with some incredibly talented ladies to bring you this Cheerful Christmas Home Tour. For those of you coming from House of Hire, welcome! There are so many gorgeous styles of home decor in this group, and you can be sure to find some truly beautiful inspiration amongst the tour. The links to all can be found at the bottom of my post. Enjoy!
The inspiration for the peach ribbon throughout my decor came from this vintage sleigh that my grandma used to hold all of the Christmas cards she would receive. The original ribbon has become a bit tattered, but it brings back so many memories for me, and now I use it to hold our holiday cards.
My trusty assistant, ♥ Roo ♥
Instead of the traditional tree topper, I added faux gold antlers, flocked branches and twinkling gem laden picks. I like to let the natural beauty of the tree shine through, so I tend to decorate more delicately.
There is something so magical and unexpected about using pastel metallic colors – I love the glamorous simplicity.
I love mixing in the vintage ornaments with the new ones. The icicles are antiques passed along from my great grandparents, and the macaron adds the perfect modern Parisian glam.
One of the most fond memories I have of a childhood Christmas was when my grandma arrived on Christmas Eve with a tower of presents. She had them in descending order of size, with gorgeous ribbon cascading down, and the anticipation of what treasures awaited was intoxicating. Each year, I make a tower of gifts in her memory – for me, there is nothing more decadent.
The gilded Angel was passed down to me from my mom, and my grandma made it many years ago. It served as the inspiration for the angel mantel, as I’ve accumulated quite a few! In fact, my mom gives me an angel ornament each year, so my collection will continue to grow.
Here’s another simple holiday mantel I did using lots of greenery and gold.

Bow Clad Staircase
One of the most simple, yet impactful ways to add holiday cheer to your home is with greenery & ribbon.
In previous years, I used real garland. But with two shedding dogs, I finally hit my limit and went for faux. We still have a real tree and real garland outside, but for the staircase, I invested in a good faux for ease of setup and cleanup.
Cascading Citrus Dining Room
I decided to do something different when it came to the dining room and found inspiration for this in an old Traditional Home magazine. I put my own twist on the idea of draping ribbon from the chandelier, and ran it all the way to each place setting.
These vintage pink glass ornaments came from my grandpa, who got them for my mom to put on the Christmas tree in her bedroom. I’m afraid to break them (a hazard with fur-babies knocking into the tree) so I placed them on a vintage silver tray.
Another easy way to display delicate treasures is in a bowl, a footed urn or tureen.
Navy Flocked Tree
I grew up with a Christmas tree in my bedroom where Santa would come a leave presents. I would try and stay awake to see him, but I always fell asleep before he came 🙂 There isn’t enough room in the master for a tree, so I cleared off the landing on the second floor and put up this flocked tree with pinecones.
I can still see the twinkling lights from my bed, so it gives me that same nostalgic feeling as I drift off to sleep.
I’ve accumulated many bird ornaments over the years – I just can’t resist them! I decided to keep this tree simple by using navy ribbon with a gorgeous Greek key pattern, and all my the bird ornaments felt like a natural fit. Last year, I put up a different bird tree on the front porch for the birds with seeded pinecones.
I used leftover navy & cream stripe fabric for the tree skirt by simply draping it around the base. Flocked trees are notoriously messy, and this was one no exception. But it was well worth it for the soft, snow laden glow.
