It’s that magical time of the year when we start to emerge from under the thick layers of clothing and start to show some skin. I’m a self professed beauty addict, and I want to share with you some of my spring time must haves. It also just so happens that Sephora is running their Beauty Insider promotion – so it’s the perfect time to stock up and purchase some of the higher ticket items!
This Spring, I had the pleasure of co-hosting a baby shower for a sweet friend of mine in NYC. She is the first in our group to have a baby, so as you can imagine, the Pinterest research game was strong. We decided on a bohemian floral woodland theme (whatever that is) and my mind was instantly focused on the floral arrangements! I knew we wanted an organic feel, and the colors we chose were shades of burgundy, sage and cream to tie back to the invitations. After some thought, I decided that a birchbark vessel would be the perfect way to incorporate the “woodland” feel. Keep reading to learn how to make this insanely easy and beautiful vase!
I know it’s early, but there’s nothing worse than waiting until the last minute to find that special gift! So i’ve done the hard part and rounded up a few of my favorite gift giving ideas! This year, I wanted to focus on featuring gift ideas from real artisans and makers. Not only does this support small businesses, but it assures that your gift will be unique and truly thoughtful.
I received this watch and I am completely obsessed with it. When it comes to watches, I gravitate towards the traditional chain link look of the iconic brands because they are timeless and go with everything. Well this is that – except with a fun twist.
Jord Wood Watches are all handcrafted from various types of wood – mine happens to be Koa wood from Hawaii. But fear not if you want glam – it has all the rose gold feels, a beautiful exposed window, Swarovski crystal markers and Sapphire crystal face. Oh and it’s automatic, so no need for batteries. Even Marlowe loves it.
The watch will arrive beautifully packaged in a solid wood box, so all you have to do is add a bow.

I love scouring Etsy for gift giving and inspiration – the amount of creative artists out there is astounding. I may or may not have been searching for pet portrait artists when I came across this gem. Genevra Bell is an incredible artist whose whimsy and knack for the fanciful is uncanny.
While she does have ready to purchase items in her shop, I can’t think of a more personalized gift than that of a custom piece of art. She will do anything you can dream up, but my favorites are her custom paintings of homes and pets. She will even add details like a flower crown or bow tie to your beloved pooch (or kitty) Head on over to my Instagram to see how you can win an adult coloring book, illustrated by Genevra as well as a 20% off coupon for a pet portrait of your own!
Sticking with the Easy discoveries, I found these adorable terrariums and succulent gift boxes! They come with everything you need and would also be a fantastic host or hostess gift. They look beautiful everywhere – on the coffee table, bookshelf or desktop. And there are multiple sets with multiple price points to choose from!
Nothing says winter snuggle time more than a super cozy blanket. Just imagine how cuddly the person who receives this hand knit throw will feel?! Make it the ultimate gift my pairing it with a good book and loose leaf tea…or a bottle of wine. Just sayin’!
I would be remiss if I didn’t encourage you to gift a candle this season. I truly believe that they are one of the easiest ways to create a homey atmosphere, lift your mood and treat yourself.
This holiday season I have done something a little special – for a limited time, I will be offering hand dipped rose gold candles. Each vessel is hand dipped, one at a time to create a one of a kind piece. Once lit, they give off the most beautiful glow.

Every season has it’s merits, but there is something so magical and cozy about fall that I just can’t get enough of. While pumpkins, mums and spicy tones usually take center stage, I wanted to create a more elegant and understated tablescape for a change!
After 1.5 years, 3 contractors and countless surprises hiding under the floors, the attic guest room bathroom is finally complete! What started as two small and barely functional rooms is now a large, luxurious spa-like oasis.
My Grandma was the queen of everything clever, from her use of witty banter to her “why didn’t I think of that?!” solutions for everyday problems. She always had fresh flowers around her house, but didn’t always have the time to perfectly arrange them. Thus came one of her many ingenious “hacks” before that was even a thing. I’m going to share her secret to a full, lush looking arrangement without breaking the bank.
Every once in awhile, I’ll find myself scouring Craigslist for those elusive diamonds in the rough. This particular day, I majorly scored. I bought a pair of vintage Thomasville Bamboo dressers and a matching cane back chair (more on that make-over another day.) This DIY make-over is one of my favorites – the result is stunning and it only took an afternoon.
I’m taking a quick break from all things home to talk about one of my favorite obsessions – all things beauty! Any of my friends will tell you that I’m always on the hunt for that next “holy grail” product – whether it be a new favorite lipgloss or moisturizer, I’ve always got room for “one more”. But as I’ve gotten older, my beauty philosophy has changed from try as it all, to investing in fewer, better, and better for me products. And I see them as just that, an investment. It just so happens that now is the perfect time to stock up as Sephora is having a 15% EVERYTHING sale for all VIB members. If you haven’t signed up, do it! You earn points which get you free stuff, and you have access to lots of other perks. Below are the items I’m stocking up on – they are all natural, luxurious, cruelty free (this is huge for me!!) and most of all, they work!
One of my favorite ways to bring fresh spring style into my home is with potted greenery, like succulents and neutral toned orchids. I found this fantastic resin clamshell at my local Home Goods, and knew it would be the perfect container for a simple planter with a high end, designer look.
